On March 8, 2016, International Women’s Day, Channel grantee partner Women Enabled International, released the first ever global report focused on capturing and conveying the biggest challenges, needs, and concerns of women and girls with disabilities. In the process of gathering data for the report, Enabling a Global Human Rights Movement For Women and Girls with Disabilities, WEI heard from over 280 activists in 69 countries, spanning six continents – all working on behalf of women’s and girls’ disability rights, women’s rights and/or disability rights.
