The Channel Foundation sponsored an event featuring Afghan Judge Najla Ayubi at Seattle University Law School on October 13th, 2016. She shared her insights on the situation in Afghanistan (social, economic, and security) as well as her unique perspective on the political transition in Afghanistan and the role of Pakistan and India in Afghanistan’s future.  She also shared reports and evidence of the state of women’s lives and security in the region from Channel grantee partner the Women’s Regional Network (WRN), a network of South Asian civil society leaders who develop “solutions, as a network, to address extremisms, corruption and militarization of aid as they impact women’s security.”

The event was introduced and moderated by Dr.Tayyab Mahmud, the Director of the Seattle University Law School Center for Global Justice. Additional sponsors included the World Affairs Council, Linksbridge SPC, and Seattle University Law School Center for Global Justice.
