Channel Grant:
2021: Channel made a grant to Global Greengrants to support women’s environmental action in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through their newly created grantmaking advisory board. Greengrants will focus on deepening strategy and building movement infrastructure in partnership with the advisory network in support of environmental justice movements in the region.
Global Greengrants supports grassroots environmental groups, with a particular emphasis on projects led by Indigenous Peoples, women, and youth. Greengrants’ grantmaking serves to build and strengthen movements for environmental and social justice.
Greengrants’ Women and the Environment program has two objectives: (1) promoting women’s equal access to rights, opportunities, and resources within environmental justice movement, and (2) promoting women’s environmental leadership, while capturing learnings, significant change, successes, and challenges along the way.
