Mission:
The mission of Engaged Donors for Global Equity (EDGE) Funders Alliance is to organize within philanthropy to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the interconnected nature of the social, economic and ecological crises threatening our common future. EDGE works to increase resources for communities and movements creating systemic change alternatives for a transition to a society that supports justice, equity and the well-being of the planet.
EDGE resulted from a merger in 2013 between two donor affinity groups, Grantmaking Without Borders(GwoB) and the Funders Network on Trade and Globalization. Channel supported GwoB’s Gender and Global Grantmaking Initiative which eventually transformed into EDGE’s ongoing Gender Justice Initiative.

2023: Channel made a grant to EDGE’s Movement Participation Fund to support the participation of movement representatives (particularly disability inclusion) at the EDGE 2023 Annual Conference, “Funding Boldly: Systemic Change and Alternatives,” which took place in Berlin, Germany Oct. 18-20, 2023.
