OUTRIGHT ACTION INTERNATIONAL NEWS:

Channel Grants:

2021-24: Channel made a three year grant to Outright International to support their programming focused on the leadership and rights of lesbian, bisexual and queer (LBQ) women within their larger mission fighting to eradicate the persecution, inequality and violence that LGBTIQ people face around the world. Funds may also be used to support LBQ groups.

In 2022, on International Women’s Day, Outright launched LBQConnect, a global feminist program aimed at boosting the visbility of lesbian, bisexual, and queer activism around the world.

2020: Channel made a grant to Outright International to support its COVID 19 Emergency LGBTIQ Response Fund. This fund helps grassroots LGBTIQ organizations on the frontlines of responding to the global COVID 19 pandemic via small grants and also supports Outright’s own advocacy work responding to COVID-19.

More information on Outright’s work can be found on its podcast and web series, Outright TV.  These media highlight stories of LGBTIQ people and allies from across the globe interviewed by Outright’s staff members.  Outright TV features informal conversations about the experiences, feelings, challenges, and anxieties, as well as hopes, that LGBTIQ people and allies are experiencing in light of the coronovirus pandemic.
