In Crossings, a group of international women peacemakers sets out on a risky journey across the demilitarized zone (known as the DMZ) between North and South Korea, calling for an end to a 70-year war that has divided the Korean peninsula and its people. Comprised of Nobel Peace Laureates and renowned activists like Gloria Steinem and Ahn, the intrepid team faces daunting challenges as they forge a path with their Korean sisters toward peace and reconciliation.
Crossings is a powerful tool to educate audiences on the history of the unresolved Korean War, the role of women in forging peace, and the responsibility of the U.S. to negotiate a peace agreement with North Korea. As Forbes magazine put it, “Crossings is an inspiring film about activism – in which a group of women set out to accomplish a seemingly impossible mission and, despite serious obstacles and setbacks, succeeds in making an important statement.”
