Background & Goals: Kini Samsoon-Kini worked as an advocate for the human rights of Sudanese refugees in Egypt as a legal officer with Africa and Middle East Refugee Assistance (AMERA), an NGO with offices in Cairo. He wished to increase access to education for refugee children and was interested in the importance of sustainable development in improving the overall ability to protect and enforce human rights.

Post-Degree Projects: Kini Samsoon-Kini received his LLM in International Human Rights Law in 2008 from the University of Essex.
